Full English Breakfast

Hi, this recipe is my own and serves one, but can easily be scaled up for more! I have previously made an Easy full english and a Vegan full english , if you want to have a look at those too.  This was much faster to make than I had anticipated and everything came together at the just right time, which is always a bit of a worry with having so many pans on the go at once (and things under the grill too!). You can change up how you cook the egg (I did scrambled) but some other options are poached, boiled, fried or even baked eggs (think Shakshuka-style).  Traditionally, you may also have fried bread, fried or grilled tomatoes and black pudding, so feel free to add those too. And, is usually served with a nice cup of tea. Enjoy! Cheesy Bolognese Bake

Hi, I got this recipe off of a Sainsbury's recipe card, one you can pick up in-store but it is also available for you too see Here. There were a few slight differences between the two recipes like one used lean mince and one didn't, one used a bit more cheese, so I've put what I used as the ingredients and if I slightly changed it then that's in the {}. This recipe was super quick and easy, I couldn't believe how fast it was to do, I'd given myself an hour before I wanted tea to be ready but it was going so fast that I was going to finis in half the time! So, I left some stuff till the last minute to drag it one a bit. The flavour of this was really nice, I added some salt and pepper to the meat sauce and cooking the veg with the pasta was such a good idea and the pasta fortunately didn't even turn green! This does make quite a lot and we had enough for 2 meals so serves 8. To reheat leftovers, place in an oven proof dish, cover with tin foil and bake in a preheated oven until piping hot throughout. I would recommend putting your oven on its hottest setting to get it warmed up faster. Alternatively, you could pop it all in a saucepan over a medium-high heat, if it's a bit dry add some water to loosen it up. Additionally, feel free to switch up the veg and use different pasta shapes or different meats as well. Enjoy!!

Serves: 4 {I had enough for 8 but ours was served with crusty bread}

Prep: 10mins
Cook: 15mins

Dietary Info:
-Unsuitable for Vegetarians (unless you use a meat substitute)
-Unsuitable for Vegans (see below and above)
-Contains Dairy (Some pasta has egg in it so make sure to buy one without if allergic, you can definitely substitute the cheese for a lactose-free alternative one)
-No Nuts
-Contains Gluten (use a G-F bread and pasta)

Ingredients:
-4
00g spirali pasta {I used penne}
-500g frozen whole green beans
-1 tbsp olive oil {I used extra virgin}
-350g 5% fat beef steak mince {You can freeze any leftover mince}
-1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped {I used 2}
-1 tsp dried mixed herbs
-400g chopped tomatoes {I used 1x400g tin}
-440g tomato sauce {I used a 500g jar}
-2 slices wholemeal bread, torn into small pieces
-40g mild cheese, grated

Method:
1:Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet. Add the beans for the last 6 minutes, then drain.
2:Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium-high heat and cook the mince for 10 minutes, until browned and no pink colour remains. Add the garlic, herbs, tomatoes and sauce, and cook for a further 10minutes.
3:Stir the pasta and beans into the beef mixture. Tip into an ovenproof dish, top with the bread pieces and scatter over the cheese. Grill under a preheated grill until the cheese has melted. {This takes about 5mins if you also want the bread a bit toasty}
