Full English Breakfast

Hi, this recipe is my own and serves one, but can easily be scaled up for more! I have previously made an Easy full english and a Vegan full english , if you want to have a look at those too.  This was much faster to make than I had anticipated and everything came together at the just right time, which is always a bit of a worry with having so many pans on the go at once (and things under the grill too!). You can change up how you cook the egg (I did scrambled) but some other options are poached, boiled, fried or even baked eggs (think Shakshuka-style).  Traditionally, you may also have fried bread, fried or grilled tomatoes and black pudding, so feel free to add those too. And, is usually served with a nice cup of tea. Enjoy! Easy Tasty Full English Breakfast

Hi, I cooked this for my Dad's birthday while we were on holiday and he loved it. This is an easier version of a traditional fry-up breakfast which would include, in addition to this, fried egg, hash browns, mushrooms, black pudding and sometimes more!! But, generally you will get a selection of those at a cafe, or somewhere similar,  and at hotel buffets you can pick and choose what elements you have more or less of. My sister, for example, just gets sausage and beans! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this breakfast...

Dietary Info:
-Contains Gluten {You can use a G-F bread instead}
-Contains Dairy {Either add a dash of plant milk to the eggs or leave it out entirely, fry everything in oil, not marg and butter your toast with a dairy-free spread}
-No Nuts {However, our brown sauce did contain almonds but most don't... at least I don't think so??}
-Unsuitable for Vegetarians {Substitute the sausages for Quorn ones or use a vege sausage mix or a falafel would be nice as well. You can buy vegetarian bacon as well}
-Unsuitable for Vegans {Make it dairy-free, see point 2, then meat free, see above but for the eggs you could not use them, make a tofu scramble, or use some substitutes like add extra of something or add a new ingredient like avocados}

Ingredients:

-2 eggs {I used medium size eggs}
-2 sausages {I used pork sausages but you can use any e.g chicken, pork and apple, Cumberland, chipolatas etc or use a vegetarian/vegan alternative}
-2 bacon rashers
-1 large tomato
-2 slices of toast, buttered {I used wholemeal toast}
-1/3 of a 400g tin of beans {In our house, our favourite beans are Heinz}

Method:
1:
First, preheat your grill and then grill the sausages according to packet instructions. Halfway through cooking, add the bacon as well to the grill.
2:Meanwhile, whisk your two eggs in a bowl and set aside for later. If you wish, you can add a splash of milk, this will make more eggs but personally I find it makes them a bit more rubbery.
3:Then, chop your tomato into slices, set aside.
4: At this point, prepare everything else that isn't food e.g lay the table, get the salt and sauces ready and plates, make a pot of tea etc..
5:After you have put the bacon in, there should be roughly 10 mins left for cooking, maybe a bit less, begin to heat your beans on a low heat now, stirring occasionally, just make sure they don't stick.
6: Add a bit of oil or a knob of butter to a frying pan and start to fry the tomatoes on one side, roughly 2-3 mins on each side or until slightly browned.
7: At the same time, scramble your eggs and while they're going, put the toast into the toaster.
8: When the eggs and tomatoes are done, the toast should be ready so plate up the egg and tomatoes, butter the toast, dish up the beans and finally, take the meat off the grill and serve hot.
